German private equity firmAurelius
said onMonday it is buying Reckitt
Benckiser's Scholl shoe business in
its efforts to expand internationally,
betting on the brand's growth
potential. Under the agreement,
Aurelius would acquire the interna-
tional rights for the Scholl footwear
business, excluding North and South
America.

Borgers USA Corporation, a Germa-
ny-based automotive supplier, will
locate its second NorthAmerican
manufacturing center inNorwalk,
Ohio. The firm’s new $60million
facilitywill employ 230 Ohioans.
As the U.S. subsidiary of Borgers AG,
Borgers USA Corporation is an
automotive supplier that manufac-
turers acoustically efficient interior
and exterior components. The
Norwalk facilitywill supply the
company’sMidwestern customers.
3D Printer Company
MakerBot Opens European
Outpost inGermany
After relying on resellers to sell its
3D printers in Europe for awhile,
MakerBot is finally committing to a
European presence and opening up
an office. The 3D printer company is
opening a new office in Stuttgart,
Germany, and is taking over its
reseller network in Central and
Eastern Europe. As part of this
expansion, MakerBot is acquiring
some assets fromHafner’s Büro, a
long-time German reseller of
MakerBot, and its owner and
president, Alexander Hafner,
will become general manager of
MakerBot Europe.
