Speaker BIO:

Jordan Resnick graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. Jordan later attended law school earning his JD from Hofstra University where he was an editor of the Law Review. After graduating law school with honors, Jordan passed the bar exam only to decide to return to his roots in Labor Relations working for Mobil Chemical managing employee relations and a labor agreement with the Teamster’s in New Jersey. Jordan has worked in Human Resources for the past 25 years having responsibility for as few as 250 and as many as 25,000 employees.

Regrettably, Jordan has had a great deal of experience managing the aftermath of workplace threats, violence, and active shooter situations while a Regional HR Director with Walmart. After developing a “playbook” about Active Shooter, Jordan was called upon to provide guidance to other HR professionals traveling to shooting sites. Jordan’s approach to Active Shooter is a thoughtful compilation of his HR experience and the rare opportunity he had to spend time with the victims of workplace Active Shooters.

Roughly 10 years ago, Jordan started ResnickHR which he calls a non-profit consulting business because it was never intended to turn a profit - and frankly, he never had the time. The Active Shooter training was developed by Jordan under ResnickHR during some downtime after leaving Walmart. In keeping with the non-profit spirit, Jordan will be providing all attendees with an editable copy of the PowerPoint training deck, the script, and a handout for Managers about how best to approach the aftermath of active shooter situations.
